Eight years after shooting her first short film on the beach in Trouville-sur-Mer and following an administrative decision that forced her to leave Sweden, Yuliya Antonova returns to the place where it all began. As she reflects on her artistic journey, identity, and sense of belonging, a new film begins to take shape — one she wishes she never had to make. Between the passage of time and the pull of the tide, a quiet question emerges: Am I still a Swedish film director, or a French one? Or am I a film director at all?
