PERIFERI ‘23

In spring 2023, the fanzine project PERIFERI (ENG: Periphery) was carried out in northern Sweden with participants from Västernorrland, Västerbotten, and Norrbotten. The fanzine project is an initiative by the Centre for Photography (Centrum För Fotografi) aimed at supporting and showcasing the diversity of photographic work across the country. PERIFERI ’23, led by the Centre for Photography, is a continuation of the project that was first launched in Västra Götaland in autumn 2021 and then in Skåne in autumn 2022.

During the spring, the 14 participating photographers worked with their own material and compiled their work into individual fanzines. The photographers developed the layout of their zines with guidance from the design agency Lundgren+Lindqvist.
